Before starting any asbestos-containing materials (ACM) removal work or waste management, it is essential to have a technical assessment and a detailed current status plan. At Altiplà we focus our core activity on initial data collection and the preparation of high-precision plans using certified equipment.
We have the appropriate technological means to carry out a comprehensive digital survey while ensuring maximum safety. During drone inspections, technical staff is present on-site but operates from outside the roof, ensuring maximum safety and eliminating the risk of walking on hazardous surfaces.
As a registered UAS operator (AESA/EASA) and member of the Digital Catalonia Alliance, we offer the following specialized technical services:
We carry out the photogrammetric flight to visualize and analyze the entire roof in detail, minimizing direct work at height.
Flight equipment: Matrice 4E drone.
Deliverables and generated drawings:
Detailed as-built floor plan prepared using certified tools and methodology.
High-resolution orthomosaic (GSD: 0.005 m).
3D model.
High-definition images and detailed 4K videos of the entire roof.
The survey can be complemented by data collection from the interior of the building and the drafting of as-built plans, including sections and details of the exposed structure.
All this high-precision information is the essential foundation for engineering teams, demolition/removal project designers, and RERA-specialized contractors who must prepare the Work Plan, process permits, and execute roof replacements.

At Altiplà we provide the essential digital foundation and current status plans for companies, public administrations, and technical specialists to plan asbestos removal with complete safety, precision, and feasibility.
The management of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in Catalonia has undergone a significant regulatory shift. Following the publication in the DOGC of Law 8/2026, of July 2, on the eradication of asbestos in Catalonia, a mandatory roadmap has been established toward its progressive elimination within set deadlines.
The legislation establishes a phased action sequence:
2028-2029: Priority action phase in publicly owned buildings and facilities or those for public use (educational, healthcare, social, and sports centers).
2032: Deadline for the complete replacement of asbestos-containing materials in the private and industrial sectors.

Main novelties of the law
Single ACM census in Catalonia: Obligation to declare the presence of these materials.
Status and presence certificate: Mandatory requirement in sale or rental transactions.
Amendment to the Civil Code of Catalonia: An amendment is added to Article 546-13 to include fiber emissions within the immissions regime.
Controlled action procedures: Subject to RERA-registered companies and the approval of the Work Plan by the labor authority.
Compliance regime: Administrative penalty framework for non-compliance that can reach up to 100,000 euros.
