During the month of January we have been working on Circuit of Catalonia, more specifically to the work of re-asphalting the track and placing new pianos.
The main contractor has been the UTE FIRTEC–ROGASA CIRCUIT 2018, while our work has been directly supporting the Project Manager, Global Management BCNThe authors of the project have been Tilke Ingenieure & Architekten.
The purpose of the project is the re-paving of the Circuit of Catalonia in order to improve its safety and rolling characteristics. The circuit has a length of 4,627 linear meters and an average width of 12 meters.
The work has been divided into three phases:
1. Chipboard milling and removal of pianos:

In this phase, our task has been to measure milling heights to verify that the chipboard package stipulated in the project would fit.

2. Asphalting a first layer 3cm thick:

In this phase, our work has been to verify that the thickness of the agglomerate was as stipulated in the project, carrying out quality control with profiles every 12-15m.

3. Asphalting a 4cm thick wearing course:

In the last phase of the work, our tasks were to check the final heights of the agglomerate with respect to the project.
In this case, quality control has been through profiles every 15-20m.
